Do you want to live a happier life?  Do you want to focus on the positive aspects of your life?  You CAN do these things.  You can by changing or readjusting your mindset.  Yes, that is all you need to do.  Change the way you look at your life, the people in your life, and the world around you.  Redirect your thoughts.

Here is a bullet list of 5 things you can do to live a happier life TODAY:

  • Give up trying to control others
    • You can’t control others, stop trying, and stop worrying about what others will do
    • You can only control what you do and how you will react
    • You have to stop worrying about what others think
  • Follow a daily routine or plan
    • Plan out your day
    • Set goals and steps to help you achieve your goals
    • Have a morning and bedtime routine that focus on your needs and health
  • Be grateful
    • Think about all the blessings in your life instead of all the transgressions
    • Have a positive mindset
    • Say good thoughts to yourself
  • Give up trying to be right all of the time
    • Compromise, give in, be kind to the ones you love
    • Let others win
    • Be open to other points of view
  • Focus on one thing at a time
    • Multi tasking can be distracting
    • Are you busy just to be busy, or are you accomplishing things
    • Finish what you start

Challenge

Here is my challenge. Pick one item on the list to concentrate on until it becomes part of your habit. Then pick another item on the list to make a priority. I encourage you to print out this list and put it in a spot where you can read several times a day. Add this list to your morning routine!
