Success it like an iceberg. Others see what is on top of the water. They don’t see the huge foundation of the iceberg below the water.  An example is the country music star who “makes it overnight” but has spent years being unknown playing in small clubs and refining their skills.

The secrets to reaching success in health and fitness are the same secrets to reaching success in life. Success comes with good, healthy habits we create and follow. It is the consistency and hard work we put in that people don’t see like the foundation of that iceberg that is underwater.  Success includes:

  • Sacrifice
  • Focus
  • Disappointments
  • Growth mindset and reflection
  • Persistence, even after setbacks
  • Time management including developing a healthy morning routine
  • Determination
  • Sore muscles
  • Hours spent

My personal secrets include the above list.  In addition, it is about strength training and doing aerobic activity several days a week. Cooking whole-food meals at home with plenty of protein, veggies, fruits, nuts, etc. are part of the equation.

Be consistent and make the process your lifestyle.  Doing the work over and over until it becomes a natural habit makes it much easier to sustain.
